Wachapreague Sunrise Series 1206

This is a recently finished studio painting 36 x 48" oil on linen, framed. It is a composite of numerous studies done on location overlooking the coastal marshes at Wachapreague VA.

Early morning pastoral scene

On the way to my favorite coastal spot this scene grabbed me and I had to stop for a quick sketch. It's a 5 x 7" oil on panel.

Lots of fog here this week and the need to paint was great. This was done on location near Locustville, Va overlooking Burtons Bay in the distance and bean field close up. 8x10 oil on stretched canvas.
