A Goodnight Kiss sold

Sometimes the drama of dusk just begs to be captured and this scene is an attempt at just that. There are many nuances of tone and color and the object of this painting is to capture the inherent feeling of the scene, not necessarily every detail. The painting measures 30 x 36" and is mounted in an understated black frame. Call for details.

VIMS, morning in Wachapreague. sold

You'll find several other versions of this scene on this blogspot. The others were done on location, leading to this creation done in the studio. It measures 24 x 30" and show Wachapreague creek looking north at one of the Virginia Institute of Marine Sciences waterfront stations. The feeling at this spot is of being on the edge of the continent with the barrier islands on the right, navigated through many serpentine swithcbacks through the salt marsh.
