Wachapreague sunrises are marvelous in their complexities. The tide influences wether or not you see the waterways and of course the cloud cover creates various moods. These large paintings come out of having spent so much time painting as the sun is rising. I have used the smaller paintings done on location to create larger, moodier pieces.
